Beginner Krav Maga Classes
If you are looking to join our regular Krav Maga classes, or are simply interested in experiencing authentic Israeli Krav Maga, then one of our 60-minute introductory Krav Maga seminars is a good starting point. Our dedicate Krav maga training facility is a 15-minute drive from Medford, just off of I-93/I-95 and has ample on-site parking. The cost of these seminars is $25, and includes 3-months access to our virtual introductory short course, so that you can start your training straight away. In this seminar you will be introduced to the conceptual framework that guides Krav Maga’s context-specific techniques and solutions to real-world violence. You will learn a little bit about the history and development of the approach, in order to see why law-enforcement agencies worldwide judge it to be the most effective system of self-defense. You will also get to practice techniques that work against both armed and unarmed assaults, and be introduced to some of the training methods that are used to both speed up the learning process, and help ensure that what is learnt can be recalled under the stress and duress of a real-life violent encounter – you will also come away with an understanding as to how combat sports, such as MMA and Muay Thai, differ significantly in context to real-life violence.
This seminar is suitable for adults aged 18+. No prior experience in Krav Maga or another martial art is necessary. If you are concerned about your fitness, don’t be, as you won’t be training physically for the full 60-minutes, as there will be time betweeen drills and practicing to receive instruction.
